Archaeologies of Loss and Longing

absence is presence

landscapes of loss and longing

presence is absence

As an image maker, photographer, and printmaker, I am an archivist of memory and loss, a keeper of ritual, a memoriagrapher.   In my art practice, I am interested in the dynamic relationship among presence and absence, the imprint and its ghost, and how loss can offer generative experience and reiterative memory.  I accumulate and gather materials to create mounds, piles, stacks in order to document and explore ideas of impermanency, transformation, and the cyclical nature of destruction and regeneration.

There is no end

no beginning

just process

in cyclical

peregrination
